Presentation of the organization

The Academy for International Science and Research (AISR) is an award-winning International centre of excellence for BSTEMM (Business and STEMM) education. AISR is an independent, UK accredited STEM Institute, offering internationally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to the highest standards in Business, Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, Education, Para Medical and Medical studies. AISR was officially launched in March 2018. Worldwide, AISR has around 1000 students and about 100 teachers. Our global ambition is to extend our education offers to developing countries across the world through affiliated colleges and study centres. Our campus is located in Letterkenny, Ireland. We have campuses in the UK, India and Nigeria.

� VR chemistry lab, where students carry out step by step practicals in an immersive environment.
� We bring our educational posters to life with AR videos GCSE level mobile game, which combines various STEM subjects and concepts in order for students to learn in a fun way

AISR is ASIC (Accreditation for International Schools, Colleges and Universities) accredited and ISO 9001:2015 certified. We are an OCN NI approved centre and also CPD Standards Office accredited. The Curriculum and Assessment Network (CAN) is a partner of AISR and has been setup for the validation of courses and training programmes for those institutions who need UK validation to ensure that their academic and training programmes are recognised as being to the highest standard and also providing certification services. AISR is the permanent constituent college of the Manipur International University (MIU), the University of Excellence in India. Therefore, MIU accredits AISR’s internationally offered Diplomas, Degrees, Masters and PhD programmes.

The activities and expertise of the organization in areas relevant to the project and the skills of the key people involved in the project

The Academy for International Science and Research (AISR) is a corporate member of the Association of Science Education (ASE) to promote high-quality science education at the Academy and in partner schools, colleges and universities. AISR is an Associate Member of the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME), the education and training of students and practitioners in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science. AISR is an institutional member of the European Distance and E-Learning Network (EDEN). The aim of the association is to foster developments in open, distance, flexible and e-learning providing a platform for all the regions and countries of Europe for cooperation and collaboration between institutions, networks companies and other agencies in the field.

Our staff:
• are currently responsible for managing various Erasmus + projects and participating in a number of Erasmus+ projects.
• have been involved in Erasmus+ project with Germany to assess their vocational education and to implement their system into the UK curriculum.
• were invited to develop vocational education within the technical university of India. This culminated setting up a faculty of health and life sciences within the university as part of an Erasmus project.
• Erasmus project: Development of an Applied Mathematics Centre within a UK school in partnership with Queens University and Maynooth University. A case study was written in partnership with the universities which was published.

• were part of a project team, and were responsible for setting up an international university in Manipur, India. This was part of a major European project, which has now been successfully passed through law
• deliver numerous teacher training for European teachers including English, STEM, History, PE etc.
• developed: online courses including high quality content development; educational augmented reality and virtual reality applications; coding for robotics teaching materials; educational apps and games.

Skill/expertise of key people:
- Dr. McIvor: academic professional & entrepreneur passionate about fostering innovative science & maths program. Extensive experience in curriculum development to degree level. Previously worked as Curriculum Manager of Science & Mathematics at the local College, where he lectured in Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Sciences, Nanochemistry, Mathematics & ICT. He has written a number of science programmes in partnership with Ulster University; participated in Erasmus+ programmes researching and developing vocational skills & curriculum in Germany and ndia. He is an OFQUAL UK accredited external expert in STEM at level 6 and in SCIENCE at level 7.


- Calum Morrison: experience in leading and managing education projects in Europe, India, China and SE Asia. He was Director of Curriculum at a UK FE college till December 2015 with responsibility for the development and delivery of the college curriculum, ranging from entry level to post graduate. Previously worked for the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and Havering College of FE Education. He is currently a President of Ulixes, an EU Training and Research organisation.
- Deepika Patel has gained her master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and her degree in Computer Science. She has over 3 years of experience in teaching degree level students in various STEM subjects, computer science and computer languages including C, C++, Java and Python. She has many years’ experience in game and application development, and also in the development of various lessons such as coding.
- Prof. Paul McKevitt is Professor of Digital MultiMedia at the School of Creative Arts & Technologies and member of the Computer Science Research Institute (CSRI). He directed the International Loeoebner Prize 2013 Contest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) held during CultureTECH 2013 for the first time on the island of Ireland and is Vice-Chair of r of the University's Convocation
